OUR MISSION

The mission of Southern Vance High School is to graduate every student with a high school diploma. The faculty and staff are focused on "teaching for learning".

Southern Vance High School's vision is to provide a caring and safe environment so that the school's mission can be implemented. The faculty and staff have a strong commitment to equip students with the 21st century skills needed for:

  • Success in postsecondary educational settings.

  • Competition in the local, state or global workplace.

  • Competetive enrollment in the military.

 

We are committed to:

  • Demonstrating care and respect for all students.
  • Incorporating technology into instruction.
  • Providing ninth grade students with a successful transition to high school through the Freshman Academy.
  • Keeping all students engaged in rigorous, curriculum-based activities.
  • Making data-driven decisions.
