The mission of Southern Vance High School is to graduate every student with a high school diploma. The faculty and staff are focused on "teaching for learning".

Southern Vance High School's vision is to provide a caring and safe environment so that the school's mission can be implemented. The faculty and staff have a strong commitment to equip students with the 21st century skills needed for:

• Southern Vance High School will host a College Foundation
of Carolina (CFNC) Family Night with Amy Denton, CFNC Regional Representative on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 6pm for students in grades 9-12.  If you have any questions, please contact Tannis Jenkins at (252) 430-6000 or tjenkins@vcs.k12.nc.us.


• SVHS Freshman Academy Open House is August 18th. 
There are two times based on parental convenience. Students and parents can come at either 10am or 6:30pm.  There will be a presentation by Administration and the Technology Department. Each student must pay $20 for their laptop. The laptops will be given to the students at this time.  
Schedules will be distributed as well.
