• Chef Jeff Harris of Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, led a cooking session in the Foods II classes at Southern Vance High School on November 10. Harris talked with students in three different class periods about educational opportunities at the university, particularly its award winning Culinary Arts Program. He also made a curry sauce for the students and gave them opportunities to taste the final product. During the cooking exercises, Harris shared lots of important culinary and food preparation tips with the students.
